Easy-to-use Nokia 2135 phone provides a reliable connection to friends and family

Responding to the needs of customers who want an easy-to-use, affordable handset to stay connected to friends and family, Nokia today (15.10.2007) introduced the compact and popularly priced Nokia 2135 phone. A generous 400-entry phonebook ensures that the largest circle of friends or the biggest of families can always be close at hand, while a full 3.5 hours of talktime or 11 days of standby time means that the Nokia 2135 phone will remain a faithful companion, even between charges.

Although designed with simplicity in mind, a carefully selected set of features adds to the utility of the Nokia 2135 without adding any unneeded complexity. An integrated speakerphone allows the whole family to join in the conversation at once, while user-assignable ringtones can announce who is calling without ever picking up the phone. For keeping everyday life organized, a built in calendar means that birthdays and anniversaries are never forgotten.

Without Bluetooth or a camera, the most advanced elements are a speakerphone and a built-in voice recorder can store up to 60 seconds of audio notes at a time, providing an effortless way to be reminded of everything from picking up milk at the store to where the car is parked at the mall.

'Ship Me!' says the Nokia N95 8GB

News

The stunning Nokia N95 8GB made its debut global shipments today (15.10.2007), and will be hitting a store near you soon. The Nokia N95 8GB is the memory-packed big brother of the Nokia N95 multimedia computer.

Nokia has given the N95 8GB a sexy new semi-gloss black color scheme that adds a touch of class to the look. Cosmetic changes extend to other places as well, with the menu and multimedia keys being significantly thinner than on the original, though not so much as to make them hard to press. The upside of this is that the two softkeys are a little fatter, and thankfully the d-pad itself is no smaller. The multimedia keys on the top of the device are now more pronounced as well. To make way for the larger 2.8" display, the lip between the two halves of the slide is gone, giving the phone a slightly sleeker look, and Nokia has made the questionable decision of removing the camera lens cover - though this allows the manufacturer to include a 250mAh larger capacity battery, something it sorely needed. The handset also includes 128MB of RAM for running applications, almost twice that of the original N95. That change alone made a noticeable difference in the responsiveness of the user interface.

Boasting up to eight gigabytes of built-in memory, the Nokia N95 8GB has all the key features of its predecessor, including a 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, built-in A-GPS, WLAN, HSDPA and an innovative 2-way slide. The sleek black N95 8GB also boasts a luminous 2.8" (240 x 320) QVGA display, so watching videos, browsing the Internet or viewing maps is a real pleasure. With its expanded memory, the N95 8GB offers up to 20 hours of video or up to 6000 songs*.

Entertaining yourself has taken on a whole new meaning with this multimedia computer, optimized for enjoying videos, playing games, or even locating your favorite destinations with A-GPS.
